2025-2026 Hepatitis Queensland Annual Report
2025-2026 Hepatitis Queensland Annual Report
We are proud to present Hepatitis Queensland’s Annual Report for 2025–2026, a testament to our continuing dedication to improving liver health for everyone in Queensland. Over the past year, we have sustained our financial stability while driving meaningful impact through our core mission: supporting people living with or at risk of viral hepatitis and liver disease, and working towards the elimination of viral hepatitis across our state.
As the leading community organisation for viral hepatitis in Queensland, Hepatitis Queensland continues to play an important role in the collective effort to eliminate viral hepatitis as a public health threat. In 2025–26, we strengthened our work across prevention, testing, treatment, education and community engagement, reaching people in community, primary care, alcohol and other drug, correctional and First Nations health settings.
This year also marked 30 years of Hepatitis Queensland. We continued to build on our commitment to reconciliation through our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan, strengthening relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and supporting culturally safe approaches to health promotion and care.
Expanding access to testing and care remained a key focus, including through community and community corrections clinics, point-of-care testing, FibroScan services and the Kombi Clinic. We also strengthened the voice of lived and living experience, with our Lived-Living Experience Advisory Network growing to 21 members and contributing to resources, campaigns and events.
We thank our Board, staff, funders, partners, community members and people with lived and living experience whose knowledge, commitment and support make this work possible. Together, we continue to work towards a Queensland free from the impact of viral hepatitis.
