About Us

Our vision is to see an end to viral hepatitis by 2030. Through our education programs, community collaboration and person-centred care initiatives, we’ve made a significant difference in the lives of people living with viral hepatitis and liver disease since 1995.

About the role

The Communications Support Officer will support the development and delivery of digital content across our website, social media channels, newsletters, and campaigns. You’ll work closely with the Hepatitis Queensland team to engage communities, reduce stigma, and promote better health outcomes for people affected by viral hepatitis and liver disease. One thing’s for sure – you will never be bored! A typical day could include updating the website, creating a social media post and creating a new digital resource.

Some travel and after-hours work may be required.

About You

Primarily, this role is suited to someone who wants to make a genuine contribution to the community and support a like-minded team. We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Degree qualifications in a relevant field (e.g. communications, marketing, public health) or working toward.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn new systems and digital platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to assist with digital communications such as social media, websites and newsletters.
  • Ability to work under supervision and meet set deadlines.
  • Basic skills in Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud, or willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
