The latest edition of the Australian recommendations for the management of hepatitis C infection: a consensus statement is now available.

Updated in September 2018, this reference tool is invaluable for health professionals involved in the management and treatment of hepatitis C.

Important updates in the latest version include:

  • New treatment options
  • Simplified recommendations for on-treatment monitoring during DAA therapy
  • New recommendations for the management of non-responders to DAA therapy
  • New recommendations for the management of HCV in the setting of renal impairment

The updated also means a new checklist wall chart for GPs and health professionals plus a revised remote consultation form. The wall chart summarises clinical guidance for treating Hepatitis C virus infection with a checklist for pre-treatment assessment of people with Hepatitis C virus infection.
