Celebrating NAIDOC Week 2025
This NAIDOC Week, Hepatitis Queensland proudly celebrates the strength, vision and legacy of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
The 2025 theme, “The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy”, speaks to the power of culture, the resilience of community, and the responsibility we all share to shape a better future.
We take this time to reflect on our journey, acknowledge the work of those who came before us, and renew our commitment to walking alongside First Nations communities in everything we do.

For 30 years, Hepatitis Queensland has worked to improve liver health outcomes and eliminate viral hepatitis. But we know accessing healthcare is about more than just testing and treatment. It’s about trust, respect, and creating culturally safe environments where people feel seen, heard, and supported.
Our commitment is grounded in action. We’re continuing to build strong relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health workers and organisations, working together in ways that are community-led and culturally safe. By listening deeply and supporting locally driven solutions, we hope to help create space for the next generation of leaders to thrive.
This week, and every week, we celebrate community, culture and the path forward.
We’re committed to walking together, with strength and purpose, for generations to come.
