World Hepatitis Testing Week

Many people with chronic hepatitis don’t know they have it.

Testing could save a life.

Knowing if you are living with hepatitis is the first step to getting the treatment and care you need to protect yourself, your loved ones, and the next generation from the risk of liver cancer and other liver diseases.

There is a cure for hepatitis C and effective treatments and a vaccine for hepatitis B.

You can get tested by talking to:

  • Your doctor
  • Your local Aboriginal Medical Service
  • Sexual Health Clinics
  • Alcohol and Other Drug Services
  • Queensland Injectors Health Network (QuIHN)
  • Kombi Clinic

For information and support call the Hepatitis Infoline on 1800 437 222.

Take part in World Hepatitis Testing Week.

World Hepatitis Testing Week starts from 18 November. It’s a global effort to encourage people to get tested for hepatitis B and hepatitis C. Early detection is key to reducing the risk of liver cancer, and testing is the first step towards accessing life-saving care.
