Viral Hepatitis and Liver Cancer – Queensland Report

The Viral Hepatitis and Liver Cancer – Queensland Report examines the increasing impact of liver cancer in Queensland and the significant role of viral hepatitis in preventable liver cancer cases.

The report explores trends in liver cancer incidence and mortality, the impact of hepatitis B and hepatitis C, inequities in prevention and access to care, and other risk factors for liver cancer. It also highlights opportunities to improve testing, treatment, monitoring, early detection and access to culturally safe, community-led care.

The report includes recommendations to reduce preventable liver cancer and improve outcomes for people living with or at risk of viral hepatitis across Queensland.
