Practice nurses are invited to apply for a new scholarship funding the cost of liver disease education. Delivered online by the Australasian Hepatology Association (AHA), the course assists primary health nurses in improving their patient’s liver health outcomes.

Hepatitis Queensland is offering four paid scholarships to complete the Introduction to the Nursing Care and Management of Patients with Advanced Liver Disease course. It covers:

  • The main causes of advanced liver disease,
  • Signs and symptoms,
  • Identifying complications,
  • Chronic disease care plans, and,
  • Referral pathways.

To apply for a scholarship, simply complete the online form and tell us how attending this course will help you in your role as a practice nurse.

The course is delivered online via Zoom over three consecutive weeks from mid-November.
