As we embark on a new year, the team at Hepatitis Queensland is excited to continue our mission to support all Queenslanders to live free from the impact of viral hepatitis and liver disease. This year, we’ll be continuing our work to raise awareness and bring hepatitis testing and treatment to vulnerable Queenslanders.

2024 will see hepatitis C clinics held at community corrections offices in Brisbane City, Capalaba, Chermside, Greenslopes, Mount Gravatt and Wynnum. Case Managers from our newest locations have taken part in education sessions this month to learn more about hepatitis and how they can support their clients.

Our high-intensity hepatitis C testing campaigns with the Kombi Clinic will kick off in 2024 at Borallon Correctional Centre, with more testing events planned throughout the year.

Hepatitis Queensland's Roadmap for 2024

Our co-designed Hep Check, Connect and Cure project will continue to support Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services to improve the screening management and prevention of hepatitis C. We’ll be announcing future Hep Check, Connect and Cure activities very soon.

Our popular hepatitis education sessions will be on offer, and we’re excited to explore new opportunities in this space to raise awareness, increase knowledge and reduce stigma.

We’ll also be bringing our 2024-2026 Strategic Plan to life, with plenty of work going on behind the scenes to implement actions within the plan. We’ll keep you updated on our progress.

Here’s to an exciting 2024!
