HQ is getting groovy!

We’ve hit the road with a one-stop shop for testing, treatment and care for people with hepatitis C. This new outreach project is a collaboration with Drs Matt Young and Joss O’Loan from Inala Medical Centre and is currently rolling into sites at Logan, Inala, Cleveland and Ipswich.

The team on board include the doctors, Sam and Mim (our new Fibroscan Operator) from HQ, Christie from QML and Alice the project’s dietician. The project aims to make testing and treatment more accessible to local people living with hepatitis C by providing blood testing, referral to treatment and new technologies such as the Fibroscan all in the one place – your place!

The first Kombi Clinic was held three weeks ago at Logan Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Service and we are thrilled to report 28 Fibroscans have already been completed, and we have four patients now on treatment. The team are cruising to the four locations on a weekly basis, so keep an eye out for the Kombi Clinic when it hits a location near you.

Watch this space as we update you with more exciting details in the months ahead. If you would like to know more, or want to talk about getting the Kombi to your location please contact Sam from HQ on programsupport@hepqld.asn.au

Stay groovy!!

Kombi Clinic Project
